Isaiah Chapter 25
When we love the Lord we will begin to praise Him, it is spontaneous. He is faithful and good, blessed be His name. Isaiah here takes a break from his prophetic writings to praise the Lord.
The Lord destroys those that arise for the sole purpose to oppress and persecute his people. All evil purposes and all those who purpose evil in their hearts will be no more. Righteousness will prevail in the long run. Those that are continuing in unrepentant sins will not last forever. They will be stopped. Where is Hitler's regime today? Where is Joseph Stalin? The fear of the Lord will return to this earth. This is something that we have lost in this present generation but it will return. The whole earth will discover who is the creator. They will discover that many who called themselves scientists and teachers have deceived them. Those that teach evolution and ignore God's part in the creation of the world will be exposed as liars and deceivers. We should not be so quick to believe everything that is printed in the textbooks. We should start asking questions. How do we know that the earth is millions or even billions of years old? It may be, but how do we know for sure? How do we know that the modern dating methods are accurate? How do we really know that dinosaurs once existed and that they were destroyed by a large meteorite? Some believed they existed the same time as man and that is where we got all the dragon legends. I see proof of God's existence everywhere. When I look at the mountains, I see Him. When I look at a small baby, I see Him. When I look at the vast oceans, I see Him. Yet He is more then that. When I feel love toward a fellow human being, I see Him, when I feel like praising His name in words and in music, I see Him. Yet He is more than that. My eyes have not actually seen Him yet but I know He is real. I've felt His presence many times. He is more than my limited vocabulary can describe. He is much more than an invisible power or force. He is a personal God also that we can actually know personally.
This verse is one of many that describe the Lord. He sees all the suffering in the world. He knows when his people are persecuted. I believe He waits to see if we do something about it first. He wants us to help one another. I believe He waits to see if a sinner will repent and turn to Him before He brings judgment. Those who do evil are not really getting by with it. God sees it and it will come to nothing.
At this present time God is not seen with our eyes physically but one day that veil will be removed and we will see Him in all His glory. What a day to look forward to.
Here is the hope of all who believe in Him. This is what I am looking forward to. No more graves, no more seeing our loved ones placed into the ground. He will swallow up death in victory. All tears will be wiped away; no more disease, sorrow, crying and evil. His people will not be persecuted and despised any more. This will literally take place. Yet the wonderful thing is that we don't have to wait to have this kingdom in our hearts. By receiving Jesus Christ here and now this hope becomes real to us. We become born again by His Spirit. This kingdom which is literally coming can be in our hearts by faith now.
I can't add to this. Why do we wait, why do we put off our salvation? The whole world is reeling in confusion. We need our creator. We need our Lord.
All evil, sin and pride will be brought down. Evil nations will be no more. The Lord and His people shall reign. We can rejoice and be exceedingly glad. He is coming again to gather His believing people. Joshua 24:15
He is my choice. -Dorna
